MSPeconomist May 3, 12, 10:38 am I'm connecting through MSP on the 9th and would love to have some Chick-Fil-A. I hope not. MSP doesn't need more deltafication. DiscoPapa May 3, 12, 10:49 am I hope not. MSP doesn't need more deltafication. Haha! Hilarious! apodo77 May 3, 12, 10:57 am I hope not. MSP doesn't need more deltafication. Chick Fil A is awesome no matter where it comes from. redtop43 May 3, 12, 10:57 am In the category of questions like "Why do you drive on a parkway and park on a driveway" I would ask... "Can the Chick-Fil-A bowl be played on a Sunday?" dcline414 May 3, 12, 11:02 am I hope not. MSP doesn't need more deltafication. Oh, quit your squawking about how fowl Chick-Fil-A is! :p pbarnette May 3, 12, 11:18 am I have to laugh when someone from Minnesota criticizes the food offerings from anywhere. Maybe Chick-Fil-A should serve hot dish to appease the locals? wb9tio May 3, 12, 11:21 am I have to laugh when someone from Minnesota criticizes the food offerings from anywhere. Maybe Chick-Fil-A should serve hot dish to appease the locals? Why not lutefisk? a7800 May 3, 12, 11:24 am It wasn't open on Monday. I will be thru MSP tonight, so I can update then. kipper May 3, 12, 11:50 am It wasn't open on Monday. I will be thru MSP tonight, so I can update then. I couldn't find anything on the MSP website or the Chick-fil-a website about it as of yet. Phil2016 May 3, 12, 11:56 am I hope not. MSP doesn't need more deltafication. Come on...this is the first positive thing I've seen come out of the merger. dd992emo May 3, 12, 12:17 pm Why not lutefisk? Uff da...maybe they'll serve French's Onion Rings on their sandwiches! SpinzCity May 3, 12, 1:38 pm That reminds me, is the ATL Loot - E - Fisk open yet? MSP_Monopoly May 3, 12, 4:31 pm A quick Google search revealed that the MSP Chick Fil A job fair was held on Monday and Tuesday this week. Therefore, I would assume it probably won't be open until the end of May probably. javabytes May 3, 12, 5:12 pm Chick Fil A is awesome no matter where it comes from. Don't get me wrong, I love me some CFA. But I hope it's better than the CFA in ATL, because that one is an embarrassment to CFAs everywhere. yankervitch May 3, 12, 7:06 pm While CFA does have delicious food, it's worth pointing out that their charitable arm has made significant donations to anti-LGBT groups. http://gothamist.com/2011/11/02/chick-fil-as_charitable_foundation.php Just a thought. dcline414 May 3, 12, 7:21 pm On the other hand, if you are in fact a bleeding liberal, you have to choose your battle... Chick-Fil-A is, in fact, on the cutting edge of environmental stewardship. See Chick-Fil-A's Environmental Stewardship (http://www.chick-fil-a.com/Company/Environmental)page for more info. If you are an LGBT sympathizer, then please spend your money elsewhere... you'll be missing out on some AWESOME food, but will be able to enjoy your alternative lifestyle in peace. Please don't attack the best fast food chicken supplier the world has ever known just because you don't like what the company stands for! I can't live without my Chick-Fil-A! :) yankervitch May 3, 12, 7:28 pm If you are an LGBT sympathizer, then please spend your money elsewhere... you'll be missing out on some AWESOME food, but will be able to enjoy your alternative lifestyle in peace. Actually, no. The express point of most of the organizations that CFA donates money to is to let those of us who are LGBT not live in peace. dcline414 May 3, 12, 7:49 pm Actually, no. The express point of most of the organizations that CFA donates money to is to let those of us who are LGBT not live in peace. Okay... my point remains, don't buy their (awesome) food, which supports their bottom line (which they are, as are ALL non-communist companies, free to invest as they wish). If you dislike Chick-Fil-A's social stance, you can boycott them... similar to what the Southern Baptists did to K-Mart. I don't support the Southern Baptist's position, but acknowledge that they WERE successful in driving K-Mart into bankruptcy. Either way, I think Chick-Fil-A tastes good, so I buy their food. I think Disney provides good entertainment, so I buy their movies and merchandise. If a product is good, I don't expend energy researching what the profits of the good (or in Chick-Fil-A's case, GREAT) product go to support, whether the company is Chick-Fil-A or Disney. Personally, I think it would be wrong to choose my diet based on social beliefs... especially if my beliefs kept me from partaking of food from the "inventor of the chicken sandwich"! :) javabytes May 3, 12, 7:52 pm Either way, I think Chick-Fil-A tastes good, so I buy their food. I think Disney provides good entertainment, so I buy their movies and merchandise. If a product is good, I don't have the energy to research what the profits of the good product go to support, whether it's Chick-Fil-A or Disney. And this is why people still buy iPads. If I started boycotting foods because their companies were also engaged in some political activity I didn't agree with, I might never eat again. MSP_Monopoly May 3, 12, 8:13 pm I'm gay, and while I don't agree with Chick Fil A's social stance, I can't get over their incredibly delicious food! So I'm not going to stop going there. dcline414 May 3, 12, 8:20 pm Also, let's keep the OP's valid question (whether Chick-Fil-A is open at MSP yet) from being moved to OMNI. We all have some social/political position, but let's just agree that it doen't involve the OP's consumption of a chicken sandwich at MSP. chicnyclady May 3, 12, 8:27 pm What terminal is this supposed to be in? I just flew through MSP a couple of times this week and hadn't seen any hint of it... and yes I will shamefully admit the reason why I am excited to find out when I fly through A terminal in ATL. MSP_Monopoly May 3, 12, 8:32 pm What terminal is this supposed to be in? I just flew through MSP a couple of times this week and hadn't seen any hint of it... and yes I will shamefully admit the reason why I am excited to find out when I fly through A terminal in ATL. It's on the C concourse where the old A&W was. mnbp May 4, 12, 6:18 am What terminal is this supposed to be in? I just flew through MSP a couple of times this week and hadn't seen any hint of it... It's in the small C concourse food court by the C-G connector (between C12 and C13). And it's not open yet (5/4/2012). DLdweeb May 4, 12, 6:48 am Now if In-and-Out would open up in ATL (with a priority line for PMs) I would be one happy camper.... Don't get through MSP much but will certainly look forward to a CFA fix. jamesteroh May 4, 12, 8:20 am I don't support the Southern Baptist's position, but acknowledge that they WERE successful in driving K-Mart into bankruptcy. I hope you are kidding there. I didn't even know the Southern baptist boycotted Kmarted, but I don't think it had anything to do with the southern baptist boycotting them. They also boycotted disney for a long time and Disney is still going strong (I think they got tired not being able to go to DIsney and when they realized Disney wanns't going to back down to their demands they dropped it). They also boycotted Walmart for a while and Walmart is still the number 1 retailer in the country. jamesteroh May 4, 12, 8:23 am Now if In-and-Out would open up in ATL (with a priority line for PMs) I would be one happy camper.... Don't get through MSP much but will certainly look forward to a CFA fix. I would love to see In N Out at airports like LAS and LAX at least. If they had them there I would get to the airport early to eat and skip the meal on the plane if I was upgraded:) I wish they would expand to other cities. Del Taco has a place here in Toledo so maybe there is hope:) jamesteroh May 4, 12, 8:38 am And this is why people still buy iPads. If I started boycotting foods because their companies were also engaged in some political activity I didn't agree with, I might never eat again. I think if it effects someone directly it has a lot more of an impact on their decission. As a gay man, I refuse to eat at CFA even though I like their food over their contributions and hiring practices. When a lot of African Americans were boycotting Denny's ten or 15 years ago, I admit I ate there because I liked their food and it was convenient for late night dining. I had a friend who is african american who refused to eat at Dennys then but will eat at CFA. nukchebi0 May 4, 12, 10:27 am Okay, it looks like I'll be forced to go with other options. Given the shortness of my layover (sub hour), it isn't the end of anything. kipper May 4, 12, 10:54 am Also, let's keep the OP's valid question (whether Chick-Fil-A is open at MSP yet) from being moved to OMNI. We all have some social/political position, but let's just agree that it doen't involve the OP's consumption of a chicken sandwich at MSP. Thank you! Should anyone care to discuss the social/political leanings of those in charge at Chick-fil-a, there's already an existing OMNI P/R thread (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/omni-pr/1327935-chick-fil-fun.html). nukchebi0 May 4, 12, 11:30 am What are the prerequisites for posting in OMNI? I can't even look at that Chick-Fil-A thread. kipper May 4, 12, 12:19 pm What are the prerequisites for posting in OMNI? I can't even look at that Chick-Fil-A thread. To view or post in OMNI, you must be an FT member for at least 180 days, and must have at least 180 posts. cloud9flyer May 4, 12, 1:28 pm To answer the original question, I saw a tweet from MSP airport that said it will open in May. Here is the tweet: @mspairport: This May. Check back for details. @brettj72: @mspairport when will the chick-fil-a open up? TheMoose May 4, 12, 3:18 pm I have to laugh when someone from Minnesota criticizes the food offerings from anywhere. Maybe Chick-Fil-A should serve hot dish to appease the locals? Aha, thanks! I thought the threshold was 90 or a 100 points before; when I originally hit that I was puzzled about how to view the forum. I don't think that information is publicly available / made visible. Which other airline would have me connecting through MSP and which other forum would be more populated with people who have connected through MSP in the past week? plagwate May 6, 12, 12:04 pm As this thread has nothing to do with Delta Air Lines or the SkyMiles frequent flier loyalty program, the new home for this discussion is now the Midwest forum. Regards, Canarsie Co-moderator, Delta SkyMiles forum Thanks for the information above. Lol, what? Which other airline would have me connecting through MSP and which other forum would be more populated with people who have connected through MSP in the past week? Using that same logic, all of the threads in the DL forum that are discussing the new ATL F terminal should also be moved. Just because ATL is DL's fortress hub, doesn't mean it's the only airline flying there. Besides, those pictures have nothing to do with the DL loyalty program and aren't specific to DL. Frankly, I don't have a problem with the OP's question about the MSP CFA being posted in the DL forum. My issue is with how selectively this judgment is applied. twoner32 Jun 5, 12, 2:02 pm well, it's open and I went yesterday for lunch. they had FREE lunch from 12-1pm |
