According to the City Island website (http://www.cityisland.com/business.html), there are no hotels there.
Might be a Bed and Breakfast.
How close do you need to be and what are the minimal accomodations (bedroom in someone's house/apartment?) you can tolerate?

OP, you might be thinking of Le Refuge (http://www.lerefugeinn.com/)which was a hotel and restaurant on City Island.
