If you by any chance are booked on the afternoon THAI flight X sydney please check your bookings. In january I booked 2 friends J class syd bkk on the way to europe in july. on an award.

all confirmed seating done etc. by chance today they looked at their booking
lo an behold they were leaving sydney on 13th july and their connecting original flight was 11.45 pm on 12th july out of BKK
thai had not contacted us or even tried to get them on the earlier flight to make their connections.
i called USAIR which was where I had booked the award seats.

they said basically bad luck we will re book you on the friday and you arrive in europe a day late( even though they are booked on a tour leaving early sat ) I tried every which way and eventually had to accept cutting a day off their tour. I said when were you notified of this??

he said 5 march i said why were we not told of this before

he said

the flight isnt till mid july!!!!
there are only millions of people flying to europe for something called the OLYMPICS. idiots.

Yes, ticketing carrier (US) should have notified you of any changes. Of course, being US, they would naturally put the blame on the one who operates the flight (TG).

I had a similar situation twice with Thai Airways flights booked with Air Canada Aeroplan (AC/AP). The TG portion was part of my RTW intinerary. My original TG itinerary was SYD-BKK-ZRH in Business Class, departing SYD on a Thursday afternoon in mid-October 2012 (4:25 p.m. flight).

In January 2012, I noticed that the afternoon TG flight had been removed from the schedule and I had been rebooked to depart on Friday morning at 11:00 a.m., even though my connecting flight to ZRH was departing BKK at 00:15 am on Friday.

After contacting AC/AP, they offered to rebook me on an alternate routing. They were then notified by TG that the flight had been re-instated and I was put back to my original itinerary.

Suddenly, a few weeks ago TG did another schedule change and I was back in the same situation as before, the afternoon flight was cancelled again. This time, there was no reward space availability in Businss Class on any TG. AC/AP contacted TG and asked them to release space in Business Class on the 11:00 a.m. flight. TG agreed to provide reward space on the earlier flight. The only downside is that we now have an 8 hour layover in BKK.

We were also advised by TG through AC/AP that there might be further schedule changes before we actually travel.

I'm flying out in ten days and TG kicked me of the plane for taking kids on board. I wasn't even notified I ran to order lobster and got told the aircraft can
Not take me. Very poor service . And I noticed now I'm off the cabin is sold out I believe they got me off and filled the seats with paying PAX

Shanye, although I agree it was poorly handled and they should never have booked you on the flight in the first place as the rule is stated there in ticketing as has been shown by others.

Of course they would fill the seat you vacated if they could with a paying passenger. But this is NOT why you were removed from the aircraft.

I beg to differ. The conditions are no child under 8 or infant can travel on that flight without a adult or guardian. My wife was sitting right next to them and I am
A curtain away if needed . TG Sold me out , that's my opinion .

Presumably TG's view is that there must be one adult per child in J to assist them in case they become trapped after the seatbelt airbag inflates. I agree that they should have queried the ages of your children when they accepted the booking.

All airlines are rather strict in implementing rules for kids. And they should.
Your post lacks details so it is hard to tell from your post what the exact problem was.

There's another thread stephan65 started . Basically I booked a trip in F for myself and wife and two children in J 7 months ago and then ten days before I leave I rang to pre order meals and they told me no children are allowed in J and will cancel my booking unless I make other arrangements so I did but at a lost.

But like people are telling me I just try to enjoy my trip and forget about it
