It's common really, and not just for this type of aircraft or just for Airbus... During flight trials or other types of tests conducted before delivery by the manufacturer a certain aircraft can manifest various issues and therefore they reserve more time to test it. Air France has seven A380 and seven Destinations, but some Destinations need at least two A380-Aircrafts: -New York (only six Flights a Week) -Johannesburg -Washington -Montreal -Singapur (only three Flights a Week) -Tokio ->Route needs two A380 -Los Angeles (28.Mai) ->Route needs two A380 |
