I'm flying on Saudia for the first time tomorrow. I wanted to know what to expect on the flights in terms of food, IFE, etc. We are a family of 4; my wife and I and our boys aged 5½ and 1½. We're flying from Mumbai to London and have a 5 hour transit in Riyadh. What is that going to be like? Any help / comments / suggestions will be much appreciated.
See this recent post re the RUH transfer: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/other-middle-east-africa-frequent-flyer-programs/1292602-transit-saudi-arabia-riyadh.html
Main challenge will be keeping the kids occupied, especially if you are delayed.
Saudia aren't so bad. The newer 777s are ok though some of the older 747s are a little ropey. Inflight service is "reserved" but the food is fine. No alcohol obviously.
Do let us know how it turns out.
