The blackout dats are not too bad for holiday travel -- sometimes sales like these have much heavier blackouts. They do have a disclaimer "Certain flights and/or days of travel may be unavailable, especially during busy travel periods".

I'm not used to seeing them target travel so far out -- I wonder if this represents some strategy change when it comes to sales, or something else? Or nothing?

Perhaps they want to get as many bookings as possible, before AirTran and Southwest extend their schedules, which currently are only open thru Nov 2.

Or nothing?It's a pretty smart strategy from what I can tell from the fares. As I looked at routes that I typically fly, the fares are much higher than normal. So, when one considers the 25% off discount code, they come into a more normal range.

If Frontier can get people to bite on fares that are not exceptional, then they lock up that passenger and revenue now, as opposed to the possibility of the traveler choosing another carrier closer to the November and December time period. However, I have a feeling this sale is timed to supersede Spirit's entry into the Denver market this week and assume that it is therefore, nothing more than a preemptive move.

Will Frontier still be flying in December?
