U.K. and Ireland - Where to Meet For Terminal 5 Arrival?

I have a friend who is flying from SEA to LHR on BA flt 48 next week. She gets in about noon on a week day. British Airways website shows they arrive at terminal 5. I am so a Terminal 3 girl, I have only arrived on American when I go to London. Where can I meet my friend at Terminal 5 and how long do you think it might take for her to get through customs/immigration for a flight arriving around 12:00 PM? I would like to give her instructions in advance of where to meet me.

I will already be in London so I am going to take the tube in to collect her and take her back to our hotel. She hasn't been to London before so I do want to meet her and help her navigate the whole transit thing.

There is only 1 exit in T5 Arrivals. You have 2 choices:

1. There are 2 'official' meeting points called Meeting Point South and Meeting Point North. All these are are big arrows pointing down from the ceiling saying Meeting Point North / South on them! A bit pointless.

2. There is a Costa Coffee shop DIRECTLY opposite the T5 arrival doors. This is your best bet, I would just sit there and wait.

As per other threads, immigration is currently taking up to 3 hours in T5 for non-EU nationals but can, on the other hand, be very quick, so bring a book. A large book.

Perfect, I will go to the Costa Coffee shop, I have a Kindle Fire, lots of large books on it.

Judging by the news on T5 and the immigration lines, you could be waiting hours.
