Evening all.. (well in the UK)...

I was wondering how long before a route starts that we can book tickets? I would love to get a ticket on a flight to RGN as it looks an amazing country...

I was on the first QR flight to GOI and I think i booked a ticket around 4 months before, but i cannot remember..

At the moment we do not have the specific date for the inaugural flight from Doha to Rangoon. When we announce the date, I will inform you immediately.

Thanks for the info. Are the business class seats on A319 same as bigger 777s? Any difference? I'm thinking of flying IAD-DOH-RGN in Feb of 2013.

Unfortunately not. The business class on these (two-class) aircraft is more like U.S. domestic first class -- 2-2 across with a decent recline. Nothing like the long-haul C seats. Let's hope this route is successful (perhaps with lots of support from FlyerTalkers) and they put a legitimate long-haul aircraft on it.

Starting 28 OCT the route is planned to go up to daily.

The A319LR DO have lie flat seats, they have a different interior than the A320. The first A319 A7-CJA used to have the Sogerma lie flat seat product that was on the first A330s, the second A319 A7-CJB has a nicer and more comfortable Recaro product similar to the Lufthansa business class and some of QR's A330s. Both have now been standardised to the Recaro seat and the A319s have been recently refurbished and refreshed with SR Technics. Economy class seat pitch is 33" and the seats are comfortable there. Both business and economy have AVOD.

Thanks for the info, I stand corrected. I have never flown one of the few A319s in the fleet and had no idea that they were configured this way. A pretty unique product.
