So I was thinking about buying one of those semi portable document scanners, but after talking to a few people, I found something better.
For my receipts (for expenses) and documents I need to send in, lately I've been using CamScanner: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.intsig.camscanner&hl=en
Edge detection, color correction, angle distortion fix, export to pdf.
It's free and there's a pro version if you want to get rid of watermarks and such.
I got it after my Apple-loving friend recommended JotNot to me: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/jotnot-scanner-pro/id307868751?mt=8 (apparently quite good if you've got an iPhone).
One less piece of equipment for me to have to buy!
