EL AL Matmid - I want to fly LHR-(TLV)-HKG, LY does not have such a ticket

My friend used to this often. With free stops in TLV (24-48 hours). Tickets were very competitive and more revenue for LY

I called LY London office and they say such ticket does not exist. (quite stupid on LY's part)

Of course the website does not allow such ticket.

Any ideas how to ticket such flight (obviously without two separate tickets, that is not the point)

Maybe you should try calling ly again, or via a travel agent?

I tried travel agent no go. Will call LY in Israel and see what's going on.

No forum experince on connecting tickets via TLV?

No personal experience, but according to Expertflyer LY has two published fares for LON-HKG via TLV:

economy class:
fare basis OE3SFR
855USD++

one free stopover in TLV permitted either on the outbound or inbound flight

business class:
fare basis JE1SFR
4081USD++

If you quote the fare basis (and there is availability on booking class O on your dates), the LY call center or a competent travel agent should be able to book this.
