I was going to go buy the Tumi T-tech presido 20" business carryon.
Macy's coupon (online promo code "FRIEND") includes Tumi, and all other brands.

They also have a $50 rebate for a travel pro purchase of at least $300 (not including tax).

So i bought:

What do you guys think? It's only going to be used on carryon so i don't think i need the warranty that tumi or travel pro's platinum line has.

Carry-ons don't take the kind of abuse that checked-in luggage does. I think you should be fine. ^

Just checked Amazon and you can get those two bags for $243.98 with free shipping. I have an older 22" Travel Pro that needs new wheels but for $120 I'm very tempted to buy a new Crew 8.

By the way, I have generally found that if you are okay with the discontinued version (which only has cosmetic differences anyway), it is both easier and cheaper to buy TravelPro's Platinum line. The Crew line usually gets snapped up pretty quickly by people, so you are unlikely to findthe discontinued version of the bag.

With Platinum, however, those bags are typically widely available and the price of a discontinued Platinum is usually much lower than the price of a current version Crew.
