Does the TSA enforce the standard security rules for liquids (i.e. bottles of alcohol) when flying from Honolulu to any of the Islands?

It is the same everywhere in the US. I see you are located in OZ. Is your question then related to duty free purchases made while en route to one of the outer Hawaiian islands? If this is what you are asking, there is the possibility to place duty free liquids in your checked bag after you clear customs in HNL, and before you re-check the bag for onward flights to the outer islands. cssaus Apr 29, 12, 8:40 pm yes they do Thanks. I'm pretty familiar with the TSA rules but wasn't sure if there might have been exemptions for inter-island travel. Anyway, there goes the idea of buying a bottle of duty-free Moet in Sydney to take to Maui:( Aloha1 Apr 30, 12, 6:54 am Thanks. Anyway, there goes the idea of buying a bottle of duty-free Moet in Sydney to take to Maui:( If it is in a secured bag and tagged with the purchase receipt, you should be able to bring it through. Once in HNL, you will need to place it in your checked bag after clearing customs and before TSA. Bring along an empty scotch bottle box or some bubble wrap and a plastic bag. Should be fine. I've done this myself when returning to the U.S. and having a connecting domestic flight. jpetekYXMD80 Apr 30, 12, 8:23 pm It very much is, sometimes better than elsewhere. They are particularly ravenous when it comes to Guava jelly, i can attest. matti2d May 8, 12, 9:26 am It very much is, sometimes better than elsewhere.
