Aegean Airlines Miles&Bonus - First Time A3 Flyer would love some seating advice

Hi everyone,

I will be flying LHR-LCA on Sunday with A3 on an A320, and have am now able to check in online. In observing the seatmap, I can see an aisle seat in row 4 (the front row of economy that is shown) as well as the aisle seat in exit row 12 are available. Does anyone have any preference over which is best? I am guessing row 4 has some sort of bulkhead, or at least a divider between it and first class, does this offer much extra legroom? Also, I know on many US carriers (UA for example) the over wing exit seats have limited recline. Is this true with A3?

Thanks for any and all information, its exciting to fly with an airline for the first time!

most likely row 3 and 4 is only divided by a curtain, so no extra legroom or whatsoever.
i personally would go for row 4 for getting off the plane earlier

As kaka writes, there is only a curtain separating business from coach. Also, the first 4-5 rows on A3 planes have a slightly longer distance between them (of course, not as long as in the case of exit rows). I've sat on an exit row a couple of times but I don't remember whether you can recline the seat. If at LCA they continue busing off the plane, then getting out fast does not help a lot, anyway. At any rate, my personal preference would be row 4, but it is really a matter of "taste".

Id also go for row 4 for the same reasons above . ^

Thank you for the feedback everyone. I actually ended up choosing 12D as row 4 now only has a middle seat available. I'll report back about how it goes after the flight!

So the overwing exit rows didn't really have any extra legroom, at least that I was aware of. Not too shabby though- all 6'4" of me fit fine. Might try a front-row seat on the return leg.
