Does anyone have any experience with using prepaid international SIM cards with Vertu phones? When I go international I usually grab a prepaid card to use with random burner phones, but haven't used one in a Vertu before. Anyone with any experience with this feel like lending some hints? Thanks!

I haven't checked out Vertu in years, but it's just like every other GSM phone only with more "bling." As far as I know you can use any frequency compatible SIM. That said, if you can afford a Vertu you could afford to roam wherever you go and pay the roaming fees.

Heh true, but that being said, why bother if it's only a matter of swapping in a compatible sim? Just wonering if there's only select ones that work? I have a small stack of crap phones I've picked up from corner stores in Europe and Africa that I know work in different areas, but never had a phone that could theoretically work anywhere.

If the phone is unlocked it should work with any SIM provided the phone supports the frequencies used by the carrier's SIM you are using. That's the beauty of world-wide GSM networks.

Since the innards are just a low-price Nokia handset, it'll behave like any other $60 Nokia. The specs are almost all quad band GSM and tri band 3G, so you'll have at least 2G anywhere in the world, and 3G on most networks. This of course assuming you have a working sim.
