Hi, I am brand new to this forum and to travel runs. I don't understand your "language" or all the abbreviations, but I want to! I would love some help to understand what "MR" runs are, how I can start doing them etc. I have traveled to the UK many times and would like help to find deals or how to build miles to there. I am also very interested in some destinations in South America, or any other places really.
Thanks for reading this and I hope you will all be patient. I appreciate any help you give me.

Welcome to FT! You will find 95% (if not 100%) of your questions in the post near the top of forum.
It is called (pretty straightforward) Welcome to the Mileage Run Forum.

Welcome to FT! :)
Like any hobby, this crazy hobby has it's own language. I would encourge you to read the threads on the Milesbuzz, Mileage Run Deals and the forum on the airline you most likely will fly. After a week or two it will all make sense and help you figure out what your goasl are.
When I joined in late 2008 I was overwhelmed, but within a couple weeks I figured out that AA was the airline for me. Now that my travel is greatly diminished, I am reassessing, looking at Agean Airlines and some other options.
It's all out there, just take time. Read and refer to the glossery often.
