LAN LANPASS - Upgrade for Cash at the airport?View Full Version : Upgrade for Cash at the airport? carlosdca Apr 26, 12, 9:57 am How often does LAN offer an upgrade for CASH at the airport? (not rebooking into a full business fare but an upgrade to Business for ~$500 like BA does sometimes) I am looking into the LAX-LIM or MIA-LIM routes. Thanks. JohnnyColombia Apr 26, 12, 11:51 am I have never been offered an upgrade for cash ever on LAN Operational upgrades 4 times from economy to premium business but not once have I been offered a cash upgrade. Jan 1 this year I flew SCL LIM on the flight that goes on to LAX. The premium business cabin was empty and they really had difficult squeezing us in the back. LOL. Ok ;) I was actually offered one for a LAX-LIM day flight, $500, IIRC. But this was yeeaaars ago, probably 2005. I was AA Gold back then. I declined.
