according to check-in.dk there will be a special offer to EB Gold members this weekend.

http://www.check-in.dk/newselement.cfm?nNewsArticleID=61430

"SAS fejrer 20-års jubilæet med forskellige aktiviteter. I løbet af weekenden modtager alle Guld-kunder et tilbud, ligesom SAS har valgt 20 flyninger på fredag den 27. april, hvor der bliver ekstra servering ombord."

50% of a cup of coffee on board... (that does not involve any costs for SAS) :)

Looking forward to see the offer. Are going to book summer holiday soon, so I hope it is 20% off of similar.

I'm flying SK1243 CPH-AAR tomorrow, but since it's only a 25 min flight, I doubt thats one of the flights with extra onboard service ;-).

I'll make sure to stop by the lounge though, maybe some celebrations there as well.

If you look at the AF/KL FB promo awards: http://www.flyingbluenews.com/promo-awards.html

or
The LH M&M Meilenschnäppchen: http://www.meilenschnaeppchen.de/index_en.htm

Offering three destinations in low low season in economy for 50% 9 months out is a true joke.

Is it 1st April again? 2013 travel date for SAS promo awards? And only in Economy? :td:

Link posted for LH does not seem to work - http://www.meilenschnaeppchen.de/index.php?lang=en does though.

The AF/KL promo awards are decent, offers in the near future and in Business Class also. LH promo awards are also pretty good and I like that they have different offers from different countries rather than just from Germany. Business Class award discounts also ^

I have to agree.. This is not a "Special Offer" and indeed not to the EBGs.
Very disappointed with this. I had expected something more...but maybe I am just expecting to much. Compared to the offers, as pointed out by oliver2002, that I receive from M&M and FB, this is not even close to be an offer.
I would have expected some heavy discounts, just like the offer we have seen for e.g. 11.11.2011 from the LH group...that would have made me make some bookings...this is a waste of points, seen from my point of view.

ORD, IAD - 30000 points
PEK, PVG, NRT - 40000 points

Book: April 27 - 29
Fly: January 10 - February 28, 2013

Including connecting to CPH/ARN flight. M travel is not the fanciest thing in the world but I find this deal amazing. No fuel taxes. This comes to roughly 50 EUR per person round trip! ^

Its cheap thats for sure but it is way too limited in my opinion...

The pek and pvg offer of 20,000pts now that was amazing... They could have offered golds that or maybe a offer of buy 1 trip get one free for golds...

The lesson to be learned from this is to never expect anything amazing from EB. The offers aren't that bad, but EBG/EBPs have been around for a while, so they remember really great offers from i.e. 2008 (10k to ORD). In that perspective - and considering that EB themself hyped this anniversary - it makes the last offers seem quite ordinary.

Personally, I think the 50% off to many attractive destinations in Europe (also in Y+ and C) are way better than the 50% off in Economy on IC (with a very limited travel period), so this anniversiary hasn't been a total waste. SAS just made too much hype of it, without really having the balls to back it up.

On the positive note, thought, SAS might have gotten their eyes up for their crappy websites after the countless breakdowns during this anniversary.

Being London-based, taxes came to EUR 180 or 190 if I remember correctly (for a flight to Tokyo). Didn't bite.

Oh, and there was a promotion to Shanghai for 20k earlier this year, and a similar promotion to Tokyo for 40k last year. So while not terrible, this deal certainly wasn't amazingly good.
