JAL Mileage Bank - WTB: JAL Sirotan stuffed animal toy

Hi, looking for a ~22cm JAL Sirotan stuffed animal, unfortunately I learned of them only after passing immigration at NRT T2, which is too late. ~$55+ shipped from auction sites seems a bit steep, if someone has one they've fallen out of love with or wants to scoop one up before they depart, that'd be great. Shipping would be to California, terms would be yours.

Sakura lounge staff in person nor telephone desk staff were able to help, I understand exclusivity of selling items only from certain stores but really, it's a baby seal.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to JAL forum and FT, p2323!

There are multiple versions of that stuffed animals. I believe the latest one is the pilot one and it comes with multiple sizes too (you sure you don't want the biggest one? :p). I am going to try get one for myself in June anyway so I can get one for you too if you prepay for the shipping and cost (and I get the miles of course :p).

Or if you can't wait till June/July, maybe fumitani, Simmo or other Japan based FTers can help you get one.

Thank you kindly for your quick reply - the one I'm after isn't the pilot or mechanic, it's just a plane. If something turns up sooner, great, if not, please look forward to prepay + points!

Thanks again!

Hi - good news is that I have no idea which they sell and don't sell, so please don't be discouraged. Yes, the plane with new livery is the one I'm looking for.

Hope they'll make some available once passengers have passed through immigration at departure, or some other way.

Happy to help. Let me know what you want to buy. JALPak linked them and i found some more on Rakuten which seems reasonable and cheaper than $55.

Definitely did not see any at BlueSky at NRT in early Feb as I would have bought several for sure. Or maybe I got distracted by the Royce counter...

Thanks for the tip. Didn't even bother with stores outside security as we were a little stressed with check in. Will look for them when I go back in December.

Where in central Tokyo could I find them though? Is there a Sirotan store anywhere? Sorry Kitty-chan you're about to be replaced. :D

I always bought mine at HND Blue Sky. As Simmo pointed out, you can buy them online too. Let me double check where exactly did my friend saw it at NRT last time (assuming she remembers :p)

You're right, I'm looking at the company website and if I read it right it only lists HND, no NRT. Apparently the stores I should be looking for are the Mother Garden stores but not being able to read Nihongo is making it a bit challenging. I don't remember seeing them at KiddyLand or Hakuhinkan either.

Yes HND :) Hopefully the pilots will still be available when I am there...they are still listed on the website :D

What's your offer? :p

Anyone who wants this can just PM Simmo. Would be helpful if you can send the link to the exact items you want as there are so many versions and size of them.

I assume Simmo only charges you cost of the JAL Sirotan, shipping cost from Japan and PayPal fee? :p

Maybe Simmo can start an exporting business and will send you Sky Time too if you want LOL :p

Wow - glad others are interested.

The $55 number included forwarding service to the USA as it looks like relevant Rakuten sellers / JALux don't ship to the US.

Thanks again for all of the kind offers to arrange for some to be sent this way -- I know the best solution is to just fly back to Japan ASAP!

hehehe I even have the old livery one at home ;) They are hard to resist :D I believe Simmo probably won't charge for handling but don't make him lose money by not paying for the PayPal fee :p But I would let him clarify :)

There is a sirotan town at Haneda airport. This is where I suggest those who are interested in sirotan should go. Otherwise, LaQua near Korakuen station is another place for a "Mother Garden" store.

See here (http://www.haneda-airport.jp/inter/en/premises/tenant/5200100013200000/index.html) for English intro on the "sirotan town."

Do you mind if I ask where you are located in CA?

San Diego -- where that new JAL flight will be taking off and landing from!

LaQua and Sirotan shop at the same station, can't beat that.

You just want ONE (1) of this right?

http://item.rakuten.co.jp/sirotan/943-36633/

If you are willing to travel to LA, another option I bring it back for you and you pay when you pick it up.

FYI, I am not accepting any more orders for my June trip. I have got 4 of these to bring back already (not counting the ones I want for myself). I need to reserve some room for things other than Sirotan! LOL

Guilty but very grateful! :)

Simmo, seriously there's a demand for a forwarding services for Japanese products as the Rakuten Global store is not enough. I once went to Mitsuwa to find out of they knew of any such service and they instead gave me a catalogue of THEIR products (that can be had at the store where I was!) for delivery to my house. I think there was a miscommunication somewhere.

Was browsing the company website and saw some other products and was half hoping to see a Sirotan randoseru hehehe. No such product though.

You're welcome! I don't think anyone is as crazy as our household with sirotans. Our household has maybe 15-20 sirotan so I have done a lot of research on behalf of my household previously.

Click here for link to Mother Garden in LaQua: http://www.laqua.jp/tenpo/mother_garden

I've never been but previously I think I found there is a Mother Garden in Taipei and I have bought sirotan in hong kong here (http://www.facebook.com/mothergarden.smilegarden.com.hk) at the mikiki mall at "Smile Garden"

T2 Arrivals floor, out and to the left. It's near the Skymark domestic check-in counters, I think. That's where I bought mine (largest one, plane, old livery). Looked into this thread to see about getting another one without heading back to Japan, but looks like that's not practical.

It is as long as you are willing to pay for the shipping cost. Simmo will be happy to order one and send it to you.

Yeah i thought there were companies that did this. I guess not. Apart from JAL items, what else would anyone want from here? A guy quit from my work 4 months ago and is getting into the export import business but he`s so secretive about his plans that i suspect it`s not working out.

Actually I wouldn't be able to get them for anyone during my June trip. I forgot to count the spaces needed for the goodies (PJs, amenity kits, etc) I received. Sorry about that.

Just make sure you don't go to the one at La Qua. They only had the old livery one. Blue Sky at HND had all 3 when I was there yesterday.
