I'm willing to fly out of any Washington DC airport, although I lean towards DCA as it's more accessible, and might result in an extra leg or two. I've been researching the "biggest bang for the buck" routes which allow for a few nights in the destination over the Labor Day weekend with one to none vacation days and have come up somewhat short in the cost/mile category. I'm willing to spend up to $1500, especially for W fare class flights so I can use one/two of my remaining System Wide Upgrades. I'm okay with multi-leg flights and would prefer to depart the DC area on Thursday afternoon/evening, August 30 (I have Friday off), and return by as late as 5-6 pm on Monday, September 3.

If the deal is right, I am clearly willing to fly in and out of IAD or BWI as well. I'll fly anywhere that will allow me at least one night there, and get me back to DCA by the afternoon/early evening of Monday, September 3. Thanks in advance for any recommendations/assistance. Work travel has REALLY slowed down this year, so I need to ratchet up my personal travel to get back to 1K.

Thanks Clacko - everything was about 10 cents/mile. From Honolulu to Moscow. Maybe Anchorage was just under that. I found less than 10 cents/mile to Johannesburg, but without 100% bonus miles. Always a catch :) Warsaw looked for a while, as did Istabul, but not over Labor Day Weekend

I did a long weekend in HKG from dc area this march. Flew iAd-ord-hkg-nrt-iAd and spent three nights in hkg. Cost $1034ai on UA. Made for a great weekend and got around 18k miles (no status at the time). Could have squeezed more miles into the routing, but that wasn't the primary point of the trip ( visited friends and stayed three nights at Conrad on HH points).

Keep an eye on fares from dc to hkg -- they're regularly under $1100 ai. With your swu's, this trip would be very tolerable.
