American Express Membership Rewards - Platinum 50k/$1000 spend denied-25k/$3000 offered

I picked up a link on Fatwallet a couple weeks ago for 50k/$1000 spend and applied/approved. Immediately secure emailed Amex and asked to verify offer, Amex said they had to verify, came to FT and saw problems with the offer, today Amex came back with not eligible, 25k for $3000 spend.
I sent them a link for 50k/$3000 and asked to escalate to a supervisor.
Any other ideas?
