JetBlue TrueBlue - JetBlue A320 or DL MD88?

So I have a choice of taking a flight in a few months, I could get an award tix on DL but it's an MD88. Or pay for a B6 flight. Is this a no brainer? Anyone have feedback on the equipment and also the airline comparison?

I think the cost of the flight and how you value your miles matters much more than the type of plane on the route.
How much is the B6 flight and what flight?

What's the route you are flying? JetBlue has nice personal IFE, but I don't find their planes overly comfortable. I was just on one of DL's older planes (a DC 9-50) and actually thought it was pretty nice. Depends how much you value your miles and how much the fare on JetBlue is.

No-brainer. MD88 provides a much better ride than an A320, especially up front.
But please tell us how you managed to find an award ticket on DL.

OK but OP never said he/she was considering DL F. Having said that, unless OP has a better use for the miles, miles are always cheaper than $.
Plus it's not like we are talking a choice between 5-star airlines here. :D

Actually, I have 2! Got one in March for NY-Paris, and now I can use some expiring AF Flying Blue miles to get a NY-FLL for next winter. The flight is available on the AF website. It's costing 25K miles, but the AF miles are going to expire and there's no way to renew them. (The fees for the award ticket are $71 and the B6 ticket costs $260)
So the B6 A320s are that awful? I thought they had a little more room and had that Satellite TV-- The MD 88 has been around a long time-- It looks like the DL MD88 may have Wifi?
BTW, I'll be traveling in Y.

Since it's only 3 hours, I'd use your miles, save the $190, fly DL and enjoy the Wifi, although that will cut your savings to $180.
So the B6 A320s are that awful? Maybe timstravel likes a skinnier seat with less legroom, but if that doesn't describe you, the JetBlue A320 seat beats the snot out of a McDinosaur-88's. :)

If you have no other good use for the miles, then of course you should use the miles.
I think the B6 A320s are just fine, especially if you pay a bit more for an extra-room seat. But, in this case, their are more important issues than a debate between MD88 and A320.

Not going to feed the troll. Now how does this relate to Delta Skymiles?

Having flown both in the past 4 weeks I would take the B6 flight every time, assuming comparable cost. I wouldn't pay $170 extra for the B6 flight, but assuming comparable costs I'd definitely take it.

Hmmmm... last time I checked, DL flew MD88s.

So, bumping a one month old thread isn't calling attention to the "troll"?
