Practical Travel Safety Issues - Safety razor blade or electric shaver in check-in

Guys
I'm trying to avoid the $25 per-bag fee for check-in. Can I take a safety razor without the blade in check-in? I guess I can buy the blades at the destination for 2-3 bucks
If not, how about an electric razor?
And how about a nose/ear hair trimmer?
Thx

Check the prohibited items list:
http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/prohibited/permitted-prohibited-items.shtm
Looks like safety blades are a no-no, but disposable razors are allowed, so that might be a better choice.

How about just taking the safety razor but without a blade? Just google 'merkur safety razor' - there are no sharp components to it

I wouldn't like to bet either way  .

Ok, I don't see electric shavers in that list. Is that allowed?
Thx

Disposable razors and their cartridges are allowed, as are electric shavers. I've never even had a screener bat an eye at any of my razors.
