Hawaii-based Airlines - Hawaiian Airlines - Using Delta Skymiles on Inter-Island Flights

Pretty straightforward question here...

I have some Delta Skymiles that are pretty useless to me right now... looking to somehow convert them for use on Hawaiian airlines. As I'm going to hawaii for 3 weeks, I'm looking to fly from Oahu --> Big Island --> Kauai --> Maui.

Does Delta allow to book interisland flights through their partner awards? Or is there a way to convert them that I've missed?

Cannot convert them, but you can redeem them through SkyMiles for an interisland award (or at least without significant devaluation of the SkyMiles). You will very rarely find anything for 10k. Normally, the rate will be 15k (even though UA/AA price these awards out at 10k) and the availability does not match what is offered to other partner airlines (UA/AA awards on HA draw from T class, but DL will not have the same seat availability). And the kicker: while you can search for and view these awards online, I have never been able to successfully book a HA award on delta.com. It always errors out for me. YMMV.

Delta.com certainly has its issues with partner carrier bookings, but HA-operated award flights (except mainland-HI) can be booked online. As noted above, typical fares make this a fairly poor value. Search by specific date (not flex calendar) and schedule (not price).

Last year i saw plenty of award space on HA using UA miles - this year it's near nothing. HA was clearly inspired by DL.
You can check you itinerary on ual for availability first and then assume that DL offers even less.
