Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer - Sharing First Class seats with toddlers.

I'm traveling with 2 young kids from SFO to HKG. I have enough miles to purchase 4 first class seats on Singapore. My kids are 2 and 5, so it will be a complete waste to book 4 seats, since most likely they will be sitting in the same seat as my wife and I. Do you think Singapore will allow me to book 2 first class and 2 econ and share the first class seats with the kids? I know I'm being cheap and taking toddlers into first class. Sorry to all those business travelers that hate kids. But I really want a bed for my kids to sleep during the 14 hour flight. If this doesn't work, does anyone have a better idea so I can save miles and have a bed for the kids to sleep in? Thanks

1) No they wont allow it.
2) The chances of being able to redeem 4 seats in First are slim to non existent

Welcome to Flyertalk caimaster

If you want to fly first class with your family you book four seats in first class.

If you do not want to use that many miles book four seats in business.

SQ will not allow passengers to come forward on a flight.

Are there really 4 F seats avail in award inventory? If so, you are one incredibly lucky person.

As to seats, your kids are 2+ so each requires their own seat and they can't be unaccompanied at that age in Y. So either you all fly Y or you split 2 and 2 and one adult + one kid in F and one + one in Y.

I agree. Especially on point number 2. OP, if you have seen 4 seats available let us know, but I doubt it.

I think you would be happier with 4 seats in business as opposed to the idea you have anyways. Much more space in 4 J seats as opposed to 2 F seats.

These types of threads are fairly common on FT. Some airlines have allowed people to move between cabins, but it usually is not allowed. And it always is a faux pas, in my opinion.

If you're using KF miles to redeem SQ flights, it's possible to find 4 Saver seats in F on less busy flights from time to time.

Considering how empty F seats are on SFO-HKG-SIN nowadays.. Back in Dec-Jan, I got back from SFO with me alone in F, although in HKG picked up a few pax. On the way back in Jan, SIN-HKG was half full, but HKG-SFO is empty.
