At the Fremont (California) Costco today, they had the 20" expandable widebody (U420XW) in chocolate, for $189. The list price on the bag is (I think) $399.

Had it at the Jacksonville FL location as well. I wish they would carry it in the bigger size!

I have one of these - it's a great bag, and that's an incredible price.

Note, however, the thread in the AA forum on rigorous size checks. The linear dimensions of this bag are fine (44" total l+w+d), but the 16" width exceeds the 14" sizer limit.

Awesome deal. I paid $200 more for mine and I'm not upset at all. Love the bag.

Wow, I need to call around to all of my local Costco stores tomorrow. I wonder if they can transfer an item between locations.

Edit: does anyone know the Costco SKU or item number so it will be easier for the store to find inventory.

Thanks, picked up one at the Fremont store. They still had about 30 left.

Not sure if I plan to keep it, but Costco's return policy makes it easy to buy now and think about it later.

No go at my Costco in Grand Rapids, MI. Just the usual collection of kirkland, samsonite, ricardo, and tumi tech bags.

South Florida found! Pembroke Pines, North Miami and Davie all have 30+ allocations. Nothing was shipped to Pompano, Boca or Lantana.

Did not see any at Costco in St Louis, MO... Not that I'm surprised. I'll check in ATL next week.

FYI, my receipt lists 633354 as the item # or SKU.

I got mine on Sunday - thanks for posting this sale and all the helpful feedback. Can't wait to take it on its first trip this weekend...hopefully it holds everything I need - the big benefit of buying from Costco is the 'no questions asked' return policy if it turns out the bag doesn't work for my packing volume.

Ha! I was actually considering picking this bag up today at Costco and had no idea of the original price! Looks like I'm headed back to the store!

Thx!

Thanks for the heads up on this! Just picked one up on Oahu - as far as I know the Iwilei location is the only Costco on the island carrying them. Had about 12 remaining.

Also keep in mind they're ten bucks more here as well.

Our local Costco only carries the Transcend line, not Baseline (although the warranty is exactly the same and Transcend is actually slightly lighter).

Are they stocking the Trascend 20" widebody expandable or another model?

which is where? I would like to find a non widebody version at a Costco. Do you have a SKU #?

Jacksonville FL still has about a dozen of them available. I picked one up today. Decided it was too good of a deal to pass up, even though I love my Travelpro Platinum 5 22" carryon.

I just discovered the first drawback for this bag - because of the short size, my laptop backpack drags on the floor even when the carrying strap is at its shortest.

Now I need to find a new laptop bag that's shorter, maybe messenger style...or just put the current backpack on top of my BR bag and pull it along that way.
