First flight on SQ EWR-SIN -DPS. All BC/J flight departing at 11pm.

1.Seat selection for a couple desiring quiet....

2.Meal service on these flights? EWR-SIN is 18 1/2 hrs so I am assuming 2 meals but the departure time is throwing me off.

Any other tips appreciated. Thank you

1. Whole aircraft is 1-2-1 arrangements. The A345 is efficiently quiet. What exactly do you mean by 'quiet'? Far from the madding crowd? How about the back then?

2. There are on average 2 main meals with a big snack service in between for the long haul and other nibbles are available too. You may BTC from SIN at least and the return from SIN to EWR again.

This post is rather old, but you have an idea of what it has ..

my God...an entire site devoted just to SQ hehehe amazing!

on the subject of new to SQ, i also have a question re: baggage allowance as a business class passenger ; is there a limit to how many pieces you can take or is the limit 65 lbs total (no matter how many pieces)....?

I have my suitcase of course, but I also need to take a box full of stuff to my friend in SIN. Therefore two pieces total for me.

Not sure where you got the 65 lbs from. Going to or from US/Canada the allowance is 2 pieces not exceeding 50lbs per piece. Unless you are * Gold then you get 1 more additional piece of 50 lbs. If you are SQ PPS you get a 100% extra (ie 4 pieces total)

You also have to take note of the linear dimensions restriction. More details can be found here :

perfect...thanks a lot!...that cleared it up...........the website was a bit confusing as they have a piece concept and above that, a weight concept .

Ironically, that is perhaps one of the FEW things on the website that is actually clear :D

They were trying to differentiate non-US/Canada flights from all others...hence the weight vs piece concept
