Hi,

normally as fb gold on a af/klm coded flight you can access the lounge, but not on a AZ coded flight. I once manage to still get the invitation at check-in, you just need to talk a bit more, and sometimes the check-in agent will give you an invitation.

Why would lounge access not be given when the OP is on a Skyteam-operated, Skyteam-coded flight?

Why would lounge access not be given when the OP is on a Skyteam-operated, Skyteam-coded flight?

My understanding was that if the flights are AZ booked - coded - operated, lounge access is only given if one is a frequent flyer of the AZ frequent flyer program. Especially as that is what I had been told at checkin in BEY

However indeed now just checking on the klm / flying blue site, lounge access is also granted for fb gold and platinum on alitalia flights.
So my mistake and enjoy the lounge :-)

I'll be using this lounge on the way home on Wednesday night. Hopefully its in a better condition than the last time when it was a bit of a building site. Still enjoyed it though :)
