I made a partner redemption booking 2 weeks ago and the reservation is confirmed and ticketed. Points were deducted straight away but as yet nothing has been charged to my credit card. Is this normal?
The difference between the available funds on my card and the transactions that have already posted on the online statement is not even enough to cover the taxes payment so it appears to me there isn't even a transaction pending.
Should I expect them to catch up with me eventually?
Couple of other observations, the mailed out PDF itinerary doesn't even show the class of service...a little odd.
When I view the booking online it suggests I check out activites and experiences in Eastbourne or arrange my Vienna airport transfer - my flight is from Tokyo - HKG! :D I know I'm not the only one that sees that as I heard someone else in the office mentioning their Vienna airport transfer yesterday!

Thats where your bag is going before it gets to HKG... :)

It'll come through eventually. I recently ticketed 2 award seats and it took 10 days for the money to be debited from amx, +2 days to appear on the transactions.
I do agree the missing class of service is something QF needs to fix soon, like yesterday.

Thanks for that.
It must be quite inconsistent because a couple of days prior to that booking I made another redemption booking, which I later cancelled. Both the payment and the refund hit my credit card quick smart...essentially immediately.

I made an award booking last November and the credit card wasn't charged until March, 2012.

I had a similar experience a couple of years ago. QF charged my credit card 4-5 months after the reservation was originally made. Meanwhile, the fuel fines had increased quite a bit, and I got hit with a much higher amount than originally quoted when I finalized my reservation. I had to go back and forth w/CS to get the difference refunded (it was, begrudgingly and late). So you might want to keep an eye on QF's charges and make sure that they haven't gone up with the latest fuel fine increase.

Meanwhile I cancelled a JQ 'Business Max' booking and was informed on the phone it would take 15 days. 7 days later I received an email (that was filtered a spam) stating that JQ 'approved my refund' and to expect it 5 days later.

I get this email when I cancel JQ flights as well. It also states that you need to contact the call centre to provide details of the refund. After that the money has appeared in my account in a couple of days.
