Qatar Airways Privilege Club - Can't travel on QR short-haul!!!

Hi there. According to some lame current travel policy at my work, we can only travel business class on whatever airline is available. Unfortunately, for QR it is a different story. QR only offers F or first class in its short haul flights in the gulf region. We can't go for that even when i tried convincing our dummy HR and travel arrangement staff about that its only business class services, titled first!!! Anyone having the same issue when traveling to DOH in short haul?

We do fly GF just to avoid the complications and the argument that never ends but most of us hate the old terminal. Besides, using QR from DMM or BAH (we're based in eastern providence in Saudi arabia) to DOH is far more efficient to use EK and a single stop at DXB.

Economy isn't so bad for a short flight... just be glad that you don't have what my dad's company did... he can now only fly business on flights over 10 hours!

Argeed. I did Qatar Y on their A320s a few times, generally pleasant service.

The only thing is I don't like the riff raff at the regular terminal at Doha. Also arriving, you are put on the same bus as everyone else.

I would look at when you are arriving. If you are arriving around the same time as several wide bodies, I would pay the $50 or so for Al-Maha arrival.

this policy makes no sense, 2 class "domestic" F (USA, EU, middle east, asia?) is not "international"/mid-long haul F
