Swiss International Airlines - Silliness but, still, helpful!

Last Thursday I flew GVA-HER with an O/N stay in ATH. Both of my OLCI-issued boarding cards had a note (with huge, bold letters) that I was *A Gold, but I was not expecting any privileges for my second leg (I was flying OA). Needless to say, I wondered why their system would mark such a note on a non-*A flight. Yet, when checking my luggage in ATH, I was asked by the agent whether I would mind (!?) a Priority label on it, since I was the holder of a gold card (this was not a code-share). That saved me about 10 min. of waiting at HER.^

time that this retirement place for useless Greek politicians disappearsFrom your (very tasty) name I guess you must live up in the mountains of the Valais and are a little away from the... news ;): OA was sold 2-3 years ago. It is now privately run, zero anarchy (organized or not), a very nice airline with new planes and its only disadvantage, as far as I'm concerned, is that they don't belong to any global alliance; this is why in 95% of the cases I use A3.
