Other Car Rental Programs (ie. Alamo, Enterprise) - renting a car in Florence Italy

seems like Italy is a problem to rent and get insurance..the insurance that comes with Hertz and Auto Europe.. does not include windows, roof, underside, wheels, tires or interior damage.. that is most of the car! Even their pricier insurance drops the deductible but still does not cover all of the above
We called amex and their insurance wont cover Italy at all... Has anyone rented in Italy and gotten insurance that covers all of the above..

I would strongly reccomend you to buy stand alone so called "no excess" insurance. You can find it here (http://www.skodalub.ru/worldwideinsure.php). You'll save tonns of money on counter (due the fact that you'll skip very expensive insurance) and in case of road accident. On web you easily find several positive reviews!

In Italy such insurance is a must!
