I'm flying Dub-CDG-IST-CDG-DUB next week in economy.

I'm a Skyteam Elite+ (Plantinum with Delta)

(A) Anyone know which A319 and A320 fly this route www.seatguru.com has a number of options.

(B) Flying Coach on a T ticket fare, any chance of an upgrade to premium Economy?

(C) When will I be able to select seats online (First Flight on May 1st return May 3rd)?

So you are in fact an STE+, not a true FB Plat. Anyway:
Re A - isn't dub-cdg operated by cityjet?
Re B - Unless the flights are sold out, it's very unlikely that you will get a free upgrade, T fare is also not upgradeable
Re C - 30 hours prior departure

A - the configs mentioned on Seatguru are irrelevant for A319/320, because they adjust the size of the premium cabin depending on the booking. Basically, the cabin will be divided in 2 parts by a curtain. Behind it, it's the discounted Y. Before the curtain, it is the premium cabin with the 1st rows being the premium affaires followed by premium Eco.

B - possible but pretty rare, as they can adjust the size of the premium cabin by just moving the curtain.

C - only at OLCI, 30 hrs before flight time

Enjoy :)

Yes city jet operate the DUB-CDG with this plane http://www.seatguru.com/airlines/Air_France/Air_France_Avro_RJ85.php

I normally sit in 2F, however that's on Long haul connections when I book Business class. This will be first trip in the back!! It just wasn't worth paying €600 extra for the pleasure on this length of flight.

ISeatguru does have a number of different configs. for the A320

Realised my mistake, I'm a DELTA Platinum

I assume CDG-IST is comparable to CDG-ATH, which I fly regularly.

Airframe will be A319/A320 Europe (http://www.seatguru.com/airlines/Air_France/Air_France_Airbus_A320_Europe.php), at OLCI you can see which one depending on the row count. An hour or so after take of they will have a cold meal (Usually pasta with Chicken or Fish, side salad, small piece of bread and a piece of cheese) with full beverage service. Later on in the flight a second coffee/tea service with chocolate chip cookie.

If you are tall I can advice you to try to get the Exit row seats, as personally I am highly uncomfortable in the normal seats (I am 1m83 tall). Especially at these longer flights this becomes important imho.

I'd just go for aisle/window (whatever you prefer) as close to the front as you can get. I've carefully selected exit row seats on LHR-CDG or v.v. before only to have them swap out for another Airbus with different exit row configuration, making my great seat an average seat with the downside of being much farther back than it needed to be.

DUB-CDG will be operated by WX on a Avro RJ85.
I'd recommend seats below 05, else what the engines mask the view and the rest of the cabin is really loud.

Imho worth the risk for the long segment. Chances that equipment is swapped there are much smaller than LHR-CDG anyway. And since AF tries to make the Prem. Eco cabin as large as possible anyway, the exit rows are often among the first ones of the Economy cabin.

Personally I find the non-exit rows on these A320 aircraft pretty much hurtful. Even when sitting up straight, my legs are stuck to the seat in front. Plus on the sides (Under the armrests) it has sharp metal 'rollers' that cut into your leg if you are not careful.

Exit row has more leg room indeed, but it is worth remembering that the first row of the two A320 plane-centre exit rows does not recline.

Question a little bit off-topic: which lounge does AF uses in Istanbul?

I don't remember its name but it's the big one on the opposite side from the Turkish Airlines one. It's not much to write home about except at dinner time when it sometimes has a few nice things (stuffed vegetables, Turkish salads, etc). I'd say that anywhere beyond 1 hour in there is overdoing it especially as it is often very crowded.
