Aegean Airlines Miles&Bonus - Changing *A FF number on an Aegean booking

I've got four flights coming up with Aegean which currently have my BMI Diamond Club number associated with them. I want to change the number to my new *A A3 number - is there any way of doing this before I fly?

Go online to manage my booking and update your FF number else call up the cust svc and they should do it for you.

Maybe I'm being dim, but I can't see how I change the FF number on the Aegean website. If I go into the booking I can only change the flights, which I don't want to do!

Any ideas on this?

No, but some extra information. I had a couple of A3 reservations for which I entered my M&M number at the time of booking (on Expedia). I changed my FFN (to my A3 M&B number) on the Expedia website and also confirmed that it was showing correctly on the A3 website. My boarding pass showed the M&B number, but miles posted to M&M -- in other words, it would appear that the M&M number wasn't removed completely.

I've got more A3 flights tomorrow and once again the Expedia and A3 websites suggest that everything's okay, as does my BP showing my M&B number and explicitly the magic letters "FQTV". checkmytrip, however, still shows both FFNs.

I've emailed A3 about both bookings and will also try to get the M&M number completely purged from the record. If you're in a similar situation, as many new A3 members will be, watch out.

There was an analogous issue with M&M numbers in the past - if you logged a flight on the M&M website, the M&M number stubbornly stuck on the booking, even if you subsequently changed it.

It's hard to get M&M to uncredit a flight - but having a BP with and M&B number on it will help enormously.

I know. :( (Almost as hard as getting them to give credit for a US BP showing my M&M number, for a flight taken an hour before a segment of the same itinerary that they did credit... But I digress...)

midnightflight reported in this thread (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/aegean-airlines-miles-bonus/1345661-miles-credited-wrong-ffp.html#post18601141) that it can be done, so I will not give up.

It seems wise to avoid ever having a LH or other FF program number associated with a PNR for flights you want to credit to A3. Unless there's a good reason for changing or unless one gets benefits from having the other number on the booking originally, it seems that a lot of these problems could be avoided, for example by not logging into another carrier's website when purchasing a ticket for flights that one wants to credit to A3. This is what I've been doing.

I flew with A3 at the end of May and originally had my BD number in the booking. As I had just been status matched to A3 Gold before the flight I changed the FF number to A3 at OLCI. Boarding pass showed correct FF number and A3*G. After a few days I logged into my A3 account and it hadn't posted. A few days after that I was randomly checking my BD account and it had posted there, so it is not just M&M where this happens.

If this happens, it should be possible to get it fixed. See my post here:

True, but not helpful to those of us who purchase some of our tickets months in advance and foolishly think that we know where we'll want to credit them, before being thrown by, er, circumstances. ;)
