Other Middle East and Africa Frequent Flyer Programs - ET: Yellow Fever Certificates checked when entering China?

Since Ethiopian had 3 destinations in Mainland China (CAN, HGH, PEK) I'm hoping someone here has firsthand experience here. What is the actual practice when entering China from an ET flight since Ethiopia is a Yellow Fever country? Does anyone actually check Yellow Fever Certificates for pax on these flights?

My actual destination is Tanzania, which WHO considers low risk, but I don't know how China actually treats this on entry and can't seem to find any info online if the certificate is going to be required or not.

Thought I would follow up on this, since it seems no one else has experienced one of the ADD-China flights.

I was on ADD-(BKK)-CAN, on arrival in Guangzhou no one on the plane was checked for Yellow Fever Cards although officially China is supposed to require them if arriving from an Endemic country which Ethiopia certainly is on the list.
