Tried to search but it's not finding the short one letter fare code A and Q.
I'm booking a fare that is displayed as an A fare on United's website. 'A' fares show as crediting 300% or 1500 minimum to A3.
However when I look at the fare rules/restriction it shows as Q fare - which I found out is a Q upgrade to A.
Does anyone have experience with this fare crediting to A3? Will this in fact credit as 300% or as a Q economy fare?
From UA website:
Aircraft: Canadair Regional Jet 700
Fare Class: United Business (A)
Meal: None
No Special Meal Offered.
From UA fare rules/restrictions:
Q QUA30UPN
I found this thread where someone says it is in fact not a Coach fare but it is pre-merger and a bit old:
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/united-mileage-plus-pre-merger/941879-y-up-q-up-fares-united.html
It's not a big deal but I was just wondering in case I ever take a longer flight with this issue.
Thanks,
OBT
