I have a flight on KE608 in about 2 weeks, yet I cannot select my seats on the website. I booked online, and am a SkyPass member.

Nothing happens when I click on 'My Details' button in my itinery.

Is this a problem with the website,as I have tried on 2 computers at home now and the same thing happens. It seems the Javascript isn't operating properly on the site.

Anyone have this problem or know how to overcome it?

On 12 C-class segments, even with pre-assigned seats, to date I've only received 6 segments of assigned seats.............. so much for getting pre-assigned seating with KE! And frankly, they could care less.............

We just give them a call if you are able to. Once you get a seat assignment it seems to stick, but it is a little frustrating I must admit.

Are you using IE? If not, that's probably the problem, as 85% of the KE site's important features won't work in a browser other than IE. Otherwise, do the online chat, email them, or call them to select your seat.

When are you flying? For the last several months KE has limited online seat selection to within 30 days before your flight. On my recent flights I had no problem selecting seats, even in Firefox. Booking the flights required IE, however.

2 weeks.

Don't use IE (as what other people here have stated). I got mine done in Firefox and Chrome. IE actually gave me a javascript error (too lazy to diagnose it, but it's IE anyways, never use that browser anymore anyways). So try it in Chrome/Firefox

edit: also if that doesn't work, maybe something wrong with status with the airline? I was finally able to choose my seats today for me and my mother. Both of us are on separate itineraries, but when I went to choose seats (we fly same flights except on the way home, where she flies back at a later date), only towards the back of the plane was available to choose seats from (first time I flown with KE in a long time, no mileage accrued, and just signed up for FF account with them). My mom, who has some miles accrued with them (she flies once a year, and sometimes not with KE, and hardly uses her KE VISA card), was able to choose seats towards the front of the plane and had more options.

Still cannot choose seats because of an incompatibility with Adobe Flash Player.

I hate KE's website, just pure FLASH, FLASH, and more FLASH.

Have they never heard of HTML?

I emailed someone from KE (who I have had dealings with before) and they said the site is not broken, so phone them to confirm the seat reservation. Trouble is, I am in Malaysia, and I am not making any international calls from my mobile until I am home in the UK.

Besides, I emailed this correspondent with KE again, but then I receive a Failure Notice from DAEMON saying that I was unable to send the email as my IP was on a blacklist.

I will just get a seat when I check in I guess. I am travelling alone, so it doesn't matter too much, but I wanted a window seat. :td:

I will be at KUL and BKK before I arrive in HKG to check in for my KE flight, so hopefully I might find a KE desk somewhere and try to deal with them face-to-face.

have u tried chrome or firefox as your browser? Also, is your whole itinerary with KE? also, have you updated your flash?

I know the main seat assignment page always tells me that my flash is incompatible, but going through 'My Details' page in my reservations page lets me choose/change my seats just fine.

If you have a smartphone, you could maybe use the KE app. Otherwise, if you're at KUL or BKK, perhaps the KE check-in area will be manned so you could book a seat then. It might work out in your favor if it is open because KE doesn't assign exit row seats until the check-in window for their flights.

Anyway, I'd actually say you should use IE rather than Chrome or Firefox; many Korean websites are optimized for use with IE and while I normally use Chrome (I'm in the US), whenever I do go to a Korean website, I'll use IE.
