What if WJ had 787s by the end of 2012 and started flying to the EU?
WJ is doing extremely well and hiring bilingual FA and with my above statement makes it look like AC could get a slap...ignore this thread or remember it and think, how did she know?

They don't plan on expanding to long-haul routes until 2018. But I do think they would use the 787.

You really think there's a market for WJ/Air Labrador to do this? Goose Bay - London?
Or did you mean WS/Westjet?

On the plus side, they wouldn't need widebody range on this flight. ;)

Sun Country operated Minneapolis to London (STN) with 737 and a technical stop in Gander in 2010. Low loads as I recall and no longer on the Sun Country route map.

they might get some 787 from Air Canada in 2014 after the receivership.

I doubt AC will go into receivership and its is defiantly not the right time yet for WS to get the 787 with them focusing on WestJet regional right now. Let them build their Q400 route network first before they receive any wide body aircraft. It is smart business create more feeds to international gateways like YYZ and YYC from airports to small or lack demands for their 737NGs
