Practical Travel Safety Issues - Can I get through security with another airlines boarding pass?

I'm going to be spending about 6 hours at Las Vegas airport next week, and while I'm flying Southwest, due to the amount of time I'll be there it would be worth it to go over to the D gates where the United Club is.

Would I be able to get through security at the D gates even though my Southwest flight leaves from B or C?

Thanks

It depends on the airport and the document checker you get. I've been able to it at MCO to get to the Delta Sky Club if I'm flying another airline, but have heard reports that they don't allow it at other airports.

Just try it. Worst case, they don't let you through.

If they don't let you through (totally depends on the screener) it's possible you can go to the United counter and get a pass that will let you through to the club.

TSA now allows pax through any checkpoint so long as they have a same day BP which would "qualify" that pax for entry through any other checkpoint. It is common for the Officer handling the doc. checks to tell you that you are at the wrong checkpoint. It's of course common for pax to actually show up at the wrong checkpoint so it's an appropriate warning. But, if you simply say that you're headed to the UC, you should not have a problem. If you do, ask for a supervisor.

Between these two bits of advice, you should be covered. I've also done this to access a better club and haven't had problems as long as I let them know what I'm up to.

Unless you have a United Club membership, You may have issues getting in the to Club.

https://www.united.com/web/en-US/content/travel/airport/lounge/access.aspx

I think access for non-Club members requires a valid *A boarding pass. But that would be a question for the United forum.
