LAN LANPASS - LAN Lima check in opening time

Can anyone advise what time check in / bag drop opens for LAN international departures from LIM? Can you do this before the 3 hour limit?

I am transiting LIM and will be arriving on domestic flight about 6 hours before my international flight departs. As I have seperate tickets LAN says I will need to claim baggage and re-check in, before I can proceed to international departures, and the lounge.

I can't find details on when check in is open anywhere, does anyone know?

Pretty sure it is 24/7 or nearly. Yes, you can do so before 3 hours. If I am mistaken, the alternative is to leave bags at the Baggage Storage over by domestic arrivals. Hope this helps.

LAN keeps a large presence at the LIM airport.

You should have kiosks and check in agents working there for the majority of the day when there are scheduled departures.

They were using separate bag drops / kiosks for the USA departures so that may be your only issue.

I agree with previous answers. However, are you sure they can't check your baggage for the complete trip? I know is not the usual, but I remember I've traveled segments, one payed and the other with miles, with American Airlines. The counter was very kind and she made some steps to got a baggage ticket with both flights so re-check in was not necessary. I don't know if that's possible with Lan but you may ask. Good luck.
