We've been able to secure LT GOLD on AA through Spend and now set with Diamond Status on Hilton through Spend.
Looking for the trifecta on getting Free car rentals through spend to avoid those costly facility fees. Have Status through AMX Plat for National and Avis and Hertz through AMX Surpass I believe...
Any thoughts to achieving free rentals via spend/redemption points?

Yup. It doesn't exist. There have been reports of some original Em Club members being given status for life - but they are sparse. I've been in their unpublicized VIP program for a few years now. Thanks to an interesting arrangement between my company and I, I personally have funneled National well over $10,000/annually since 2005. I've also driven an additional $30k-$40k worth of business to them in that same time frame (corp rentals, co-worker's personal rentals, friends, family, etc).
While the "VIP" moniker has provided some tangible benefits over the years, I have not been bestowed any "LT" status, as it generally doesn't exist.
