Hello
I Will fly from Houston, TX, United States of America to the middle east with a 4 1/2 hours stopover in the Paris airport. I will arrive at TERMINAL 2E and then I will go to TERMINAL 2C. I have not yet been able to quit my nasty smoking habit and so I was wondering if someone had an update on whether there is somewhere to smoke (indoors or out) in terminal 2c without the whole security issue on a connection flight? Has the Terminal designated Smoking Areas for passengers without Lounge Access?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
:)

As a former smoker, I understand your pain. That said, there is no smoking inside the terminal as I remember.
Regardless, the fastest and easiest way from 2E to 2C/D is to walk outside of the secure zone and with 4.5 hrs of transfer time, it is plenty.
I've made it from 2E to 2D in 20 minutes with including a smoke and 2C is closer to E anyway.
You'll be fine.

If you ever quit smoking, don't forget to change your FT handle ;) Your arriving flight might also arrive in 2C; it can go either way in CDG. Since you have plenty of time you can certainly go outside and smoke; shouldn't be an issue.

Thank you fo your replay.
I would like to ask you where I can find the walking area outside of the secure zone??
I don't have schengen visa. Do I need to have schengen visa to go outside and smoke?
Thank you very much

If you need one, yes you need it to go outside. What is your citizenship ?

It looks like there are transit without visa privileges for UAE citizens connecting in France, according to this tool (http://www.delta.com/planning_reservations/plan_flight/international_travel_information/visa_passport_information/). That should, in theory, allow you to enter France to go out and smoke, provided you show your onward boarding pass. I would suggest verifying that with the relevant authorities in advance, although I guess the worst they can say is "No, we won't let you in." and keep you from getting your nicotine fix.
