Hello--
My husband and I are planning to relocate to Turkey. We will be bringing our two cats. TK says that it allows pets in the cabin.
I'm worried on a number of fronts. One, there is a weight limit of 6 kilos, which is 13.2 pounds. One cat is a bit under 16 pounds. Does anyone know if the animals are actually weighed? The carrier itself is 3 pounds. I don't know if that is added to the animal's weight or not . . .
I'm also worried because in the economy seats flying from ORD, the media box is under the seat in front of you. So I don't know if a normal carrier will fit. According to flight guru, this box takes up 1/2 to 1/3 of space.
I have thought of business class, but that worried me because on UA, for instance, they supposedly allow pets but not necessarily in first class. In first class, it's a case of they may-they may not allow pets. I don't know if TK has a similar reputation.
