Sorry if this has been asked before but I have a reservation at IBIS Gloucester which is £52.50 GBP and my voucher I've converted from points is 40 Euros, do the reception convert the GBP into Euros when checking out or is this a problem?

When do points expire? Is it after you've not earned any for a certain period of time?

Thanks

Jo

Jo1) They will convert your euro voucher to equivalent sterling value and deduct that value from your bill. It is wise to let them know in advance (when checking in) that you intend to use a voucher as I would surmise that the average check-in/check-out clerk will probably not know what to do and will need the assistance from his/her manager and this could take some time.

2) Points do not expire as long as your account is active, i.e. you have earned points in the last 12 months. If you have not earned any points in the last 12 monhts, all points on your account are forfeited.

THanks for your help Nick, I used a voucher at the ibis in Hull a few months ago and the lady had to call her manager at home as she didn;t know how to take them and that was when the vouchers were in sterling so yes I will take your advice nad show it on check in.

Thanks for the information about points, I stay about twice a year in a Novotel for 8 nights so that info was helpful.

Thanks

Jo
