I'll be taking the RER B to CDG the night of April 25. I'm staying at the ETAP hotel which is right next door to the Hyatt.

Can I take the Hyatt shuttle from CDG and then walk next door to the ETAP (do they check if you're actually checking into the Hyatt?)

Or I can take the RER B and get off at Parc des Expositions and walk, about 1-2 km I think. I only have a small back pack so not a big problem but I'm not sure if the roads are walkable around there.

Any recommendations?

Doesn't the ETAP hotel have a free shuttle to/from CDG?
Parc des Expositions is probably not the safest area if you are arriving in the late hours.

From what I've been able to find online the Etap shuttle is pretty unreliable and the Hyatt is more so. I guess I'll hop the first one that comes and go from there.

One other question that seems to be glossed over when I search online: Do the hotel shuttles leave from Terminal 2 or Terminal 1/3?

The RER B stops at both terminals but I'm not sure which one has the hotel shuttle stops. There's a lot of vague and confusing references online about where to get these hotel shuttles.

If I remember correctly, sometimes doormen/porters would meet the arriving shuttle bus/van at the HR CDG. It would be rather awkward if they escort you to check-in and you tell them that you're not actually staying at the Hyatt.

You're better off taking the ETAP shuttle.

Isn't it better to get off RER at T1 station (which is at Roissypole/T3)? Then no need for CDGVAL, plus it's closer to Paris....

According to the website, the ETAP shuttle picks up at CDG1.

Transports en commun : RER B, station Roissy CDG1 puis navette hôtel. Navettes gratuites vers les terminaux de 05h15 à 23h30. Renseignements des horaires en réception.

Thanks, looks like the easiest routing is to take the RER B to CDG 1 then hop the Etap shuttle to the hotel. I assume there is some sort of signage once I get off the RER B. I have to admit the maze at CDG is a world class maze, way ahead of IAD, FRA and LHR.
