Hello,
My wife will soon be traveling to the states with our 6 months old baby. She has a 5 hour layover in newark after arriving from europe. I was wondering if there is a good VIP service that can arrange for a person to meet her at the gate, and help her carry her things to the different terminal and set her up in a lounge perhaps, for the wait.
I know that because of customs she will have to pick up her luggage and check it in again for the connecting flight, and fear it will be too difficult with the baby.
If it matters at all, she is an american citizen.
Thanks!
Welcome to FlyerTalk, rMutt! :)
Please let us know what airline your wife is flying for both flights.

Hi rmutt,
As you are new here, allow me to briefly introduce myself. I am a volunteer with the Travelers Aid Society at Newark Airport. We are a group of approximately 40 to 50 volunteers, and three staff mamgers who staff four counters to assist passengers and families in their travels that include Newark Liberty International Airport.
Our main focus is our four counters, one in each Terminal's Welcome Center, as well as an additional counter in, Terminal B's International Arrivals Hall. (Note Terminal C's International Arrivals Hall is linked to that Terminal's Welcome Center.)
We can offer, as an organization, limited meet and greet services, which would include meeting an International Arriving passenger immediately outside of the Customs/Immigration Hall, and escort them to Bagage Recheck (and Airline Services if necessary), and then to their departing terminal, through security, and to the scheduled gate of departure, where we will leave the passenger. If the flight were to begin boarding shortly thereafter,we would wait for the passenger to board, but in your case, we do not have the manpower to do so.
We will not be responsible for luggage transfers (checked or carryon) nor "watching" anyones baggage, and please note, we are not a babysitting service, so in your specific case, your wife would remain in possession of your child at all times (including if she needed to use the restroom)
This service is usually reserved for disabled passengers, or children who are flying alone. It is provided at no cost, but as we are a non-profit entity, we would ask for a small contribution for our services.
That said, taking that "hat" off, I personaly could offer you additional services, which.i will discuss via a private message to be sent shortly.
