according to elal's website you cannot cancel.
but as a GL, i've managed to cancel a reward ticket for 75$/ you get the points back (if still not expired) and the surcharge

im almost sure you can cancel without a problem for $75. you only get back the points that are still valid (ie, which are less the 3 years old)

never heard of this only being applicable for gold+.

i was talking for my experience as GL.
according to the rules as per ElAL's website, reward tickets cannot be canceled and points returned.
so if someone non-gl/pl/tpl can comment from personal experience - that would be great

I am now a Plat member thanks to a status match.

If I book an award ticket for myself using my wife's account (she's only a silver), and need to change/cancel the ticket - will they look at my status for any changes/cancellations (Plat = fee free), or her status (Silver = fees for changes, no cancellations?)

Thanks,
Bostonbali

basically, the rules that apply are of the account that the voucher was issued from.

Thanks May_east,
So a Plat is not exempt from paying a cancellation fee if he/she is booked on a ticket using a non-Plat/TPL account, correct?

With BA as a Gold card holder not only are any tickets booked through your account exempt from any fees, but if you have a ticket booked through someone else's account who's not a Gold member you're still exempt.

You can't book a ticket trough someone else's account. They can book for you. Hence the rules are as applied to them.
