Flying Blue (Air France, KLM, and Other Partners) - Selecting Seats on Multiple Bookings

Hi. I am flying MAN-CGD-BEI-CGD-MAN and my partner is flying MAN-CGD-MAN (same outbound flight MAN-GDG) on a separate ticket she booked.
Can anyone advise the best way to select seats on two separate bookings, but the one flight we are sharing?
Thanks.

Unless you fly C class, it's not possible to pre-select seats on European flights. So you can pre-book only on CDG-BEY (I assumed BEI mentioned in your post was in fact BEY).
I you are in Y you can add her to when doing OLCI saving having to do OLCI 2 times.

Apologies, yes BEY.

Nice one, this will be fine. Is it reasonablyobvious how to do this when checking in?

Never had any experience with the AF OLCI but use the KLM one (but presume these are pretty equivalent). On one of the first pages an option is given to add a passenger. You have to enter their e-ticket number and you should be all sorted.

IME, this is not possible when one is Elite and the one you want to link with is not.

I never had problems like that.

I tried to link a non-status companion at OLCI but the system kept saying 'impossible due to different classes of travel'. KLM Twitter confirmed this was due to status and non-status.

Despite what KLM Twitter said, I rather think your problem was due to different classes of travel. I travel often with some family members or with some colleagues who have no status and never encountered any pb to link them to "my OLCI" (I'm plat).

Good to know!
Hopefully I won't encounter that problem in the future too again.
