Thai Airways Royal Orchid Plus - Best seats in 747 F with an infant

Hi there,
I did a search and couldn't find anything, so I thought I'd make a new post. I booked CPH-HKT in November, which is F-cabin-sold-as-J. The seatmap shows this as the 10-seat F-cabin, so I guess that means the individual pods.
We're 2 adults, with a 10-month-old baby. Can anyone recommend which would be better, 1A and K, or one of the middle pairs? I can't really see from photos how close together the row 1 seats are.
Thanks for any tips.

Hi
last year I travelled 7443 on BKK FRA BKK sector in F cabin with my family. papa, mama and two lap infants 16 months old.
my experience is 1A/K is best choice.
the seats are not that close together, but the space in between gives you room to handle your stuff.
i dont like the middle seats E/F in rows 2/3 for family travel since there are those huge dividers (holding table, tv, storage etc). the dividers do not allow any convenience for family travel with lap infant.
alternative is 3 F/K across the aisle since on those seats you are close to bathroom and F galley (where you could sneak away to, if infant cries/does not sleep and want to experience something).
but be aware the seats are not immediately next to each other - F and K are a bit "off".
hope it helps.

Last winter Thai used to operate this route by a 744 in "old" configuration, means 14 seats in C (F-cabin with 2 seats abreast), 50 Premium Economy (Business Cabin without reclinable seats) etc....
But regardless what equipment it will be next winter, the question is which seats are available for infants at all, means which seat does have a suitable oxygen mask fir infants installed....that will be the decisive point based on which ground staff will have to accommodate you (regardless of your personal seat preferance....)

Thanks, that's helpful advice. I worried that the middle pair in row 3 would feel too distant because of the divider. On the other hand it looks like 1A/K are a bit "public" - if our little boy goes bananas when the seatbelt sign is on, wouldn't everyone in the cabin be able to see? Row 3 seems more tucked away somehow.
How do I know in advance which seats have an infant oxygen supply? I always thought the flight attendants would bring separate masks if the need arose, as they always say something to that effect as part of the safety demo.

oxy masks:
Checkin and FA did not mention and we (parents) are frequent travellers ... we didnt care much.
we were checked in on 1A/K outbound and 3 F/K inbound.
i think so too...I assume they've separate oxy mask and life vest for infant and FA would hand this to you in case.

Before the as usual helpful community elaborates on 10 - seat F-cabins under the aspect of travelling toddlers : what makes you think that aircraft will be used ?

Good point. When I booked I assumed it would be the 14-F cabin, but the seatmap for my flight (as seen at lufthansa.co.uk) shows the 10-seat cabin. Am I being too optimistic to trust this?

TG's last 747/7442 ('old' 744 with 14F seats) is scheduled to be converted into a 74N (the 9F layout) by October 15.
So as long as the route is not canceled, gets 747-400 service again, and TG doesn't run behind in its conversions (quite likely...), you will indeed get at least one of the remaining four 744/7443 (744 with 10 F seats), which will be the oldest configuration available, thus deemed suitable for this leisure route.
im on BKK-ARN this summer and WISH it would go to the 10F cabin....
currently in row 1 and am worried that ill be basically on top of the neighboring A/C seats
or am I paranoid? just cant stand hearing snoring.
