I'm looking at an itinerary and it would be ideal if I could catch EY651 AUH-CAI arr. 02:50 and return CAI-AUH on EY 650 dep. 03:40.
Would this be possible? I have never been to CAI and have no idea of the layout, obviously carry on only and on a British passport.
Thanks

Somebody did a mileage run on Emirates not long ago: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/emirates-airlines-skywards/1329032-my-experience-doing-mileage-run-cairo.html
From what I read, the most important is to get your boarding pass for your return flight in AUH because in CAI it will become a hassle without that. For the rest the transit seems fairly easy to me.

You'll take a bus from the aircraft to arrivals. I'm pretty sure the airport layout of the terminal is that arrivals don't mix with departures, so you may have to exit and re-enter. You could ask the FAs to arrange for EY ground staff to meet you to escort you, but this is a highly unusual request, more likely if in F.
I would expect, as always, for CAI immigration to give you a hard time if you tell them you're instantly returning. Frankly, I wouldn't and just go straight to departures upon exit.
You should be able to check in online and print boarding passes for both sectors, or as above, get them from AUH.
I am intrigued as to why you would want to do this? Do tell :) Thanks.

Nothing too exciting I'm afraid, was just a cheapish fare out of Cairo. Ended up not going for it and burning Bmi miles instead.
Thanks

Any recent attempts / success doing this on EY metal?
