Hello, I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place, I'm new here.

We're flying to Boston, and instead of flying BA like we have in the past we decided to instead avoid the hassle of getting to Heathrow and fly from Bristol via Dublin.

It's an Aer Lingus Regional flight from Bristol to Dublin, meaning it arrives into terminal 1 if I'm not mistaken. It arrives at 9:30am, and our Boston flight leaves from terminal 2 at 11am.

We have luggage in the hold, however we're travelling with my grandmother who we've got wheelchair assistance for.

Can I ask if this is a comfortable stopover time given the circumstances?

Well it is a legal connection, but for me little tight..purely my humble opinion however. If it all goes to plan, you should be fine. No time to dawdle, but fine :)

Luggage will be checked through luckily, but the sticking point could be at US Immigration/Customs which can be busy around that time. By the time you get from T1 to T2 and queue/get processed it might not leave not much time.

Perhaps the assistance folks will get your party towards the front of the queue and if there is a severe delay I've seen EI ground staff meet connecting passengers to expidite things for delayed passengers, but I always tend to plan for when things go wrong and am left to fend for myself.

Are you sure the luggage will be checked through, now that you clear both immigration and customs in Dublin? Do they just show you a photo of the bag like they do for the BA LCY-JFK service at SNN?

Yes they do.

Minimum connection time is 75 minutes, and your 90 will be enough. The assistance people will get you through without major issue.

The route, in case you need to know it, should have you arrive at the far end of Pier A of terminal 1. You will go up in the lift and past the newsagent and bar, then down again and take a right. Through passport control and on to the baggage hall. Proceed to the far end of the baggage hall and go up in the lift by baggage belts 1 and 2 to transfer security. Take a left after security and follow the signed route to the walkway to terminal 2, and thereafter to the US Customs and Border Protection.

Worst case is your inbound flight is delayed and you misconnect, and you get rebooked onto the 1415 departure to BOS.

Oh, and welcome to FlyerTalk!
